THE 2010 WHITES ARE HERE NOW!
The grapes for all these wines are from a small family farm just on the northern outskirts of Stellenbosch
(about half an hour outside Cape Town). The farm has a 400 metre hill which is a chunk cooler than the surrounding fields;
cooler means longer ripening; longer ripening means more flavour; and we all like more flavour (or at least WE do)...
Handmade wines are just that. A tiny production of hand selected, handpicked grapes. No feet involved, fortunately.
Handpicked grapes were made into Handmade wine by Danie Steytler junior, a young jedi-master winemaker. In a world awash with inert, boring supermarket wines he has tried to make a difference to redress the balance.
